Demonstration and Carbon-free Vehicles
Task: To promote the use of carbon-free vehicles and new vehicle concepts via complete demonstrations of vehicle prototypes or fleets
1 - Development and assessment of demonstrators
The aim of this area is not to develop mechanisms or components, but rather to execute all integration works on the new vehicle
• Experimental deployment of carbon-free vehicles
• Integration of new electrical and hybrid Powertrains and their interfaces in the vehicle: EV, HEV, PHEV, range extender, FCV…
• Integration of other methods of propulsion
• Management of integration and related problems (brakes, performances, safety, comfort, auxiliaries …)
• New vehicle architectures (wheel motor, dedicated platform, seats, boot…)
• Technico-economic assessment
• Development of the missing digital design elements of the vehicle, integration, approval and dedicated testing methods
2 - Demonstration of Vehicle / Infrastructure Interactions
Demonstration of power supply systems for low CO2 emission vehicles:
• Demonstration of rechargeable vehicle fleets
• Gas systems for vehicles using alternative energies: H2, NGV (station, cylinder exchange)
• Solid systems (mechanical charging) storage system exchange,
• Evaluation of deployments
• Development of the missing digital design elements of vehicle, integration, approval and dedicated testing methods
3 -New motor-powered “mobiles”
Development and demonstration of specific vehicles:
• Single person vehicles
• Monocycles, Bicycles, tricycles, quadricycles, two-seaters on line…
• Niche markets: road working vehicles, urban delivery vehicles, leisure vehicles, amusement park and military vehicles…
• Small public transport vehicles: minibus, free service vehicles, automatic shuttles…
• All other demonstrators of innovative vehicles
• Modular vehicles
• Development of the missing digital design elements of vehicle, integration, approval and dedicated testing methods
4 - Vehicle Comfort-Safety Dynamics
• Aerodynamics
• Rolling resistance
• Dynamics and safety (suspension, steering, braking and related active systems)
• New lightweight architectures: platform + case
• New E/E architectures
• Aero-acoustics (NVH)
• Comfort
• Development of the missing digital design elements of vehicle, integration, approval and dedicated testing methods
